Warm Dutch Apple Pie Smoothie


1.5 cup vanilla organic soy milk (if allergic to soy, select hemp or rice milk)
2 apples: cut in big chunks
1 tbsp almond butter
1 inch fresh ginger
1/4 cup sulphite free raisins
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground cloves
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg

Optional: 1/4 cup walnut pieces


Place all ingredients (EXCEPT walnut pieces) in a blender and blend on high setting for 30 seconds. Transfer smoothie to a small saucepan and warm-up gently over medium-heat. Pour into a mug and sprinkle walnut pieces on top of smoothie for some extra crunch. Makes 2 servings.
